Well, we knew this weekend was going to be good and it certainly didn't disappoint. Even getting to the venue, down a farm lane past pigs, sheep and horses, gave it a proper underground rave feel. Despite the heat the Trance Anthems tent was on form all weekend, even Dave Pearce played a good set and was a great warm up for the quality set by Signum that followed. For me, the real highlight of the first day (and possibly the whole weekend) was Shugz's banging set to finish off the night in the "Summer of Love" arena.
On to the 2nd day (Saturday) and the weather was still hot, maybe even too hot in the early afternoon, but the quality music was there right from early on as I got completely lost in the music for Orkidea's set. Following that the big names just kept on coming: Richard Durrand, Craig Connelly, The Thrillseekers, Sean Tyas, Rob Tissera, with so much quality music I only caught a small amount of Lange's set, but I'm reliably informed that it was quality too. Let's not forget the hard "bringthenoise" tent, where there were some great sets from many DJs including Tash Tikka, Lee Coulson, Paul Clark and Colin Elson (who provided a great, harder alternative to the spectacular main arena where Bryan Kearny finished off the main arena in style).
There were a few small issues with the bar but these were insignificant as yet again Anomaly showed how they can put on a great event, with an amazingly positive atmosphere on a relatively small budget. Bring on the next Anomaly ??????
