Turning left at the roundabout we see a trailer with some kids sitting on it, a little strange but we drove past, there were no other places on this stretch of road so that must be the place. Driving up the rough farm lane we start to hear the beats coming as the group of farm houses come into view. Its still quiet at the moment, not too many people around but the music is still pumping. Walking into the yard there is a main stage setup with a small dancefloor area, theres a barn to the left of me so I take a look, downstairs is a small room with drum n bass pumping out so I take a look upstairs. Theres someone selling glowsticks and pictures in one corner, a bar in the other and a small opening with house music pumping out of it. Moving forward I find that this is another room setup with a great sound system purely for hard trance and house, I'm immediately hooked. This room is where I end up spending most of the day and night. A mix of hard house, hard trance but mainly hardcore made this the best place to be.
Initially this room was quiet so I ventured out to respect charlie G while he was on the main stage but unfortunately not enough people were around at this early time to respect this legendry dj. No matter, I still enjoyed it. As soon as he finished it was back to the hard house room which was really banging all night. Although at one point it did get a bit too lacking in a tune but by this time it was dark and the dance floor on the main stage was buzzing. So spending some time out there was a good idea. With a great vibe and good atmosphere the small turnout was not a problem at this great venue. Although there was a problem with the licences causing the drinks to stop early but this is a great event. Good vibe, old friends, great venue and banging music, the only way for it to be improved would be more people especially early on. Have to do it next year tho ... :P
