One year after Above & Beyond featured on 'Le Tour' it was now the turn of their label 'Anjuna Beats' to reverberate their beats around the Mecca of electronic music that is Ministry of Sound. The bonus of free early entry for members was obviously a sprat to catch the mackeral but if it means we hear more good quality music then who's complaining?
You know that your early when the Box (the main room) isn't even open when you get there although there is still some good music to warm up to as you see your notes being swallowed up by the bar.
Eventually the main room is open and the difference in tempo is apparent, this is what we came for. Ilan Bluestone is the first on the decks and does justice to the awesome sound system, building a great foundation for the night to progress with but alas the subsequent dj's failed to progress the night in the same vein. I shouldn't complain however as this was never going to be one of the harder tour stages and was a great intro for some of our tour newcomers as the music was good for the most part and there are always other rooms to choose from at Ministry when the music lulls. In the end it's the few (relatively) cheesey tunes and unnecessary breaks which mean that this night was good but not one of the greats.
